Management and
Rules
Mature trophy bucks must be at least six and one half years old
before they can be harvested. We try and encourage each hunter to
buy a game cam or video camera and try and get some photos of the
deer around your feed pen. If you are unsure of the score and age  of
the deer other members can help you determine the age and b.c.
score.
Mature Does will be taken on pasture or feed pen basis as needed.
Hunters are required to have one permanent feed pen that is
maintained year round with one thousand pounds capacity of
protein.  Corn is optional during spring and summer and is up to the
hunter if he so desires to feed. Optional feed pens can be
constructed so long as they are stay the required distance from
other lease members areas.
No blind, stand, tripod or feeder can be closer than one mile (as a crow
flies) from another lease members permanent blind or feed pen.
Please respect other members areas and feed pens.
Hi- Racking is allowed as long as other hunters areas are
respected. Same one mile rule applies. Please make effort to know
where other hunters are located and respect there areas.
The ranch is located in a semi-arid region of Coahuila, about ninety miles
south southwest of Piedras Negras Coahuila.  Annual rainfall is around
thirteen inches yearly. Most of the rain takes place in May and
September. As everyone knows
April rainfall is the key to antler
development
and not much falls during this time of the year. So we feel it
imperative to
feed protein on a year round basis. Nutrition is the key in
developing
quality deer in this arid region of Mexico. Hunters must also
restrain from harvesting immature bucks that have not reached their
genetic potential.
Old mature does should also be taken to help balance
the herd and lower the overall deer numbers.
 Accurate records will be
kept to help us keep track of our
management goals.  If you must harvest
a  deer in order to
justify the money you have spent then this is not the
place for you. Only deer that meet the
criteria of the rules section below
can be harvested.  We are looking for
long term, management minded
hunters who's ultimate goal is producing the best
quality deer that we can.
But most of all we want to have a
good time and enjoy our fellowship with
each other and the
great tradition of deer hunting. Our goal is to try and
produce the best bucks possible on a
free ranging deer herd in the wilds
of Mexico.
All bucks and does harvested must be weighed (live weight and
field dressed) and aged.  Bucks B.C. Gross score, picture of buck
and supplied paperwork must be filed out. This will help us with our
management goals for the future.
